About Teaching

Teaching can be rewarding, giving back to your community. I had the opportunity to work as a substitute teacher for over 9 years. In addition to that, I had taught 2 years of high school teaching computers. I also had worked briefly at a private school. The pay for a month was barely what you could make working at Walmart for 2 weeks. I also had worked at a charter school for about a semester. Yes, it is true that you do have to know somebody just to get a job as a teacher, even as a paraprofessional these days. It sad but true that I have met some substitutes who had at least 3-4 certifications but could not find a permanent teaching position.

Hi FGB community!
My company recently went through a major round of layoffs and my role is at risk, so after almost 5 years I am jumping back into the job market.

Payroll processes
Does anyone run their company's payroll on here? I have a question about what all you do in terms of spreadsheets? My colleague is starting to make payroll a nightmare with all the steps he has me take. And by that I mean turning a 3 hour process into a 6 hour process and having duplicate entries in multiple spots. It almost is starting to feel like he wants me to give…
